Known basketball agent Sheryl Reyes has passed away after battling cervical cancer, Saturday.
She was 39.
Reyes is a well-known figure in pro basketball, having brought foreign talents into the local hoops scene.
One of her most prized players is Justin Brownlee, whom she brought into the PBA in 2016 as import for Ginebra.
Brownlee has since become one of the greatest to don the Ginebra jersey. He has also steered the Gin Kings to three titles.
Reyes had also served as a way for NBA players to serve as reinforcements in Asia’s first pro league.
Among them were Renaldo Balkman, who played for storied franchise San Miguel Beermen twice. She also brought former NBA superstar Stephon Marbury to the country several times.
Reyes was engaged to Adamson Soaring Falcons big man Papi Sarr in 2017.
Family, friends, and fans can pay their final farewell to Reyes from May 12 to 14 at the Arlington Memorial Chapel in Quezon City.
