Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and Team Liquid Philippines delivered a commanding 2-0 sweep against Twisted Minds in the MPL Philippines Season 15 on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
With the victory, Team Liquid wrapped up the opening week with a flawless 2-0 record, securing their spot at the top of the standings alongside Aurora.
“Kung ira-rate ko siya, mga 7 out of 10 pa eh. Hindi ko rin masasabi na 10 kasi hindi pa ganong ka-perfect, marami pang mga mistake,” said head coach Rodel “Arsy” Cruz in the post-match interview.
The decisive moment in Game 2 came when Team Liquid PH wiped out three members of the new MPL squad in the bottom lane, sealing the victory in just nine minutes and seven seconds.
KarlTzy showcased his dominance on Suyou, finishing with an impressive stat line of nine kills, two deaths, and nine assists.
Meanwhile, in Game 1, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Hilda was a relentless force, spearheading Team Liquid’s frontlines and disrupting Twisted Minds’ momentum throughout the 12-minute, 44-second match.
His stellar performance earned him MVP honors, finishing with a flawless KDA of one kill, zero deaths, and five assists.
Team Liquid PH will return to action on March 8 at 7:30 p.m., while Twisted Minds will look to bounce back against Team Falcons PH earlier that day at 5:00 p.m.
