Scottie Thompson crowned as Finals MVP

Mr. Triple Double is now Mr. Finals MVP.

All-around guard Scottie Thompson was hailed as the 2018 PBA Press Corps/Honda Commissioner’s Cup Finals Most Valuable Player.

“Sa lahat ng fans dito, kung wala kayo, hindi namin makukuha yung championship,” said the third-year pro.

“Hindi ko alam kung dream ito pero gusto lang talaga namin mag-champion.”

The 6-foot-1 combo guard posted all-around numbers of 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in the six-game series.

This is Thompson’s first-ever individual award in his young career.

Besides this, this is the first time that LA Tenorio has won a championship but did not take home Finals MVP honors.
