Justin Patton is set to reinforce San Miguel.
The 7-foot-1 big man has been signed and activated by the Beermen just in time for their clash against the Macau Black Knights on Tuesday.
Tiebreaker Times first reported Patton’s arrival last Friday.
With Patton’s arrival, Marcus Lee has been replaced on the roster.
Lee appeared in three games for San Miguel, averaging 14.67 points, 10.33 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game.
Lee struggled in his debut, recording just four points and five rebounds in San Miguel’s stunning loss to Titan Ultra on March 21.
Although he bounced back with 30 points and 14 rebounds in a 118-92 defeat to TNT last Saturday, it wasn’t enough to secure his spot with the Beermen.
San Miguel now adds a legitimate ex-NBA talent in Patton.
The 28-year-old American was the 16th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and has played for Minnesota, Philadelphia, Oklahoma City, and Houston before taking his career overseas.
His most recent stop was with Puerto Rican club Cangrejeros de Santurce.
San Miguel enters the 2026 PBA Commissioner’s Cup with a 1-2 record, hoping Patton’s presence will help turn their campaign around.
