Ravena, Teng to star in FIBA 3×3 All Stars exhibition match


Although no Manila-based team has qualified for the 2015 FIBA 3×3 All Stars in Doha, the Philippines will still be well-represented as Kiefer Ravena leads a Philippine side against Qatar in an exhibition match in on December 11.

The home side shall feature Faris Avdic, Emir Mujlic, Nedim Muslic and Seydou Ndoye.

On top of the exhibition game which shall be played before the final game, Ravena shall also be part of the judges for the dunk contest and will also be competing in a shootout.

According to Kiefer himself, the team is set to leave the country on Wednesday, December 8. “Three on three basketball is a different ball game compared to what we are used to,” Ravena told Tiebreaker Times Monday evening. “I’m really excited to be a part of this and to play with Jeron, Ola, and Akhuetie.”

Six teams qualified for the 3×3 All Stars, including defending World Tour Final winners Novi Sad Al-Wahda.

Calvin Abueva’s Manila North squad was the highest-placed Philippine team in the World Tour Final earlier this year in Abu Dhabi although the team failed to qualify for the All Stars.
