Phoenix Super LPG will enjoy greater depth this season.
The Fuel Masters have secured separate deals for their draft picks: Kenneth Tuffin, Raffy Verano, Ricci Rivero, and Matthew Daves, all of which were finalized on Monday.
Verano, represented by agent Marvin Espiritu, and Rivero, accompanied by Virtual Playground’s Charlie Dy, have both signed two-year contracts.
Meanwhile, Daves, who was joined by Titan’s PJ Pilares during the lunch signing, has signed a one-year deal as the 28th overall pick.
Tuffin was given a three-year deal by the Fuel Masters, according to team manager Paolo Bugia.
Tuffin stands out as one of the most experienced players in this draft class, having already played in the NZ-NBL since 2020.
On the other hand, Rivero’s professional career was initially set to kick off in Taiwan but was abruptly halted before the start of the P.League+ season.
Both Verano and Daves have prior experience playing in the MPBL.
Not given tender offers by Phoenix Super LPG were John Lloyd Clemente, Daniel Atienza, Joe Gomez de Liano, and Theo Flores.
