TNT will have reinforcements just in time for a pivotal weekend.
The Tropang 5G activated newcomers Jordan Heading and Mike Nieto on Thursday, ahead of their crucial matchups against Blackwater on Friday and Barangay Ginebra on Sunday.
Both games will be held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Relegated to the Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA) with rights to salary list are Ping Exciminiano and CJ Payawal.
TNT is hopeful that both Heading and Nieto can shake off some rust in their return, starting with the matchup against the Bossing.
The last time the two saw action was during the PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.
Converge traded Heading to TNT in a straight swap for the rights for Mikey Williams. Meanwhile, Nieto was released by the FiberXers soon after the trade.
Heading has been recovering from back spasms, while Nieto was sidelined by a fractured finger.
Before his injury, Heading was averaging 17.7 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game.
TNT currently holds a 5-3 record with three games remaining in the elimination round.
