Jeremy Pacatiw boldly demonstrated his sovereignty over Wang Shuo, declaring the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand as the domain of his triumphant comeback.
Despite his 16-month absence from competition, he showed no signs of ring rust, delivering an exhilarating performance to prevail over his Chinese opponent in the opening bantamweight MMA bout of ONE Fight Night 21 on Saturday.
It took the 27-year-old native of Kapangan, Benguet a little over two minutes to get the job done.
“The Juggernaut” swiftly gained the upper hand over Wang on the mat, utilizing his grappling expertise following a series of rapid exchanges in the stand-up department
Taking advantage of his position, Pacatiw secured a firm hold on Wang’s back, firmly wrapping his legs around him in a body triangle to establish complete control.
With precision, Pacatiw maneuvered his arm beneath Wang’s neck, executing a tight rear-naked choke and then gradually applying pressure.
Despite Wang’s efforts to break free from Pacatiw’s grasp, the choke was too deep, leaving him with no choice but to tap out at the 2:07 mark of the first round.
This marks Pacatiw’s fourth submission victory in his professional career, enhancing his professional record to 13-5. Meanwhile, Wang’s win-loss slate dropped to 16-8.
