After a month, Norman Black is back on the sidelines for Meralco.
The 11-time PBA champion coach arrived at the SMART Araneta Coliseum moments after the PBA D-League quarters clash between University of Santo Tomas and St. Clare on Friday.
Black, 64, missed the last nine games of the Bolts to tend to his mother in the States.
Unfortunately, the matriarch of the Black family passed away two weeks ago.
With Black on leave of absence, Luigi Trillo steered the wheel for Meralco, going 5-0 in the final stretch of the elims, beating Ginebra 2-1 in the quarters, but is now 0-1 in the semis against San Miguel.
The Bolts were overwhelmed by the Beermen in Game One last Wednesday, bowing 121-97.
The former two-time Best Import returned home last Wednesday.
