Lusty, Ribo set for BREN Esports return come MPL-PH 7

Reigning Mobile Legends world champions will remain intact for the upcoming MPL-Philippines Season Seven.

Right after winning the M2 Grand Finals, veterans Allan “Lusty” Castromayor and CJ “Ribo” Ribo both gave hints of retiring.

Ribo announced later on that he will suit up for BREN Esports in the upcoming season, but Lusty remained mum regarding the matter.

Finally, BREN Esports coach Francis “Duckeyyy” Glindro finally squashed the rumors as he confirmed that Ribo and Lusty will be joining Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, David “FlapTzy” Canon, and Efphraim “Ejhay” Sambrano in their quest for a back-to-back MPL-Philippines championship.

“No roster changes for BREN MLBB,” Duckeyyy said.

BREN Esports dominated the entire MPL-Philippines Season Six. They won all but one of their regular season games and went on to sweep the entire playoffs en route to their first official MPL title.

The men in black and yellow followed it up with another title in The Nationals Season Two, before settling for silver in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

Right after, the Bernard Chong-owned franchise wrote their names in history after becoming the first Filipino squad to win the world championship following a 4-2 victory over MPL-Myanmar champion Burmese Ghouls.

There, BREN Esports proved that they are indeed the best as they booted out MPL-MY/SG titlist Todak, MPL Invitational winner Alter Ego, and MPL champion RRQ Hoshi, respectively, in the playoffs.

BREN Esports is now gunning for their second straight title when the MPL-Philippines Season Seven open its doors this March.
