Jordan Clarkson marched with thousands of California natives on Sunday (Manila time), in protest of the death of George Floyd.
The Filipino-American guard — who plays for the Utah Jazz — shared that the protest was peaceful.
“I witnessed a peaceful protest, a lot of emotion and unity, the time for change has been passed,” he said in a tweet.
“Don’t forget the message because of the tone that it is projected in!”
Last week, a video of Floyd went viral that showed a white male cop kneeling on his neck. Floyd uttered the words “I can’t breathe” before passing away.
Since then, protests against the allegedly racist act have grown all over the world.
Clarkson, who recently sold his home in Woodland Hills, is just one of many athletes who have joined the calls for Floyd’s justice.
