Jericho Cruz, game-time decision for Game 4

It will be a game-time decision for Rain or Shine whether to field Jericho Cruz or not for Game 4 of the team’s semi-finals series with the San Miguel Beermen which shall tip-off Monday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Cruz was already participating in pre-game shootaround and is hopeful that he will be able to play in Game 4. He also added he does not feel any pain anymore and is ready if he will be used.

However, a source from the Elasto Painters said Cruz needs to secure a go-signal from his doctors first.

Cruz was stretchered off the hardcourt late in Game 3 last Saturday which Rain or Shine won, 111-106. Cruz was stretchered off the hardcourt late Game 3 after an awkward fall as he tried to save a loose ball. Cruz held on to his left knee while being taken out of the playing court. He was taken to the hospital after the game.

As of this post, the MRI result — which shall determine if Cruz will be a go for tonight — has not yet reached the Rain or Shine side.

Cruz is currently averaging 10.0 points on 40.8% shooting and 4.0 rebounds in 24.9 minutes of court time in the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs. The Elasto Painters lead the Beermen in the series, 2-1.
