Less than 24 hours after his unceremonious exit in Game Four of their semifinal bout opposite the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, TNT Katropa import Glen Rice, Jr. has been fined P 26,000 for various infractions, the league confirmed Monday.
The 26-year-old was slapped with the hefty fine after shoving and throwing the ball directly at Ginebra rookie wingman Kevin Ferrer, which led to his ejection with 1:41 left in the opening quarter of the match.
Furthermore, the second-generation cager was also fined for flashing a dirty finger and for disrespecting team and league officials.
Rice, Jr. left the game and the venue moments later with two points, three rebounds, five assists, and a steal. His absence was greatly missed, as TNT lost steam in the end-game and bowed to the now Finals-bound Ginebra 115-105.
With his acts, the former NBA cager with the Washington Wizards might have lost his chance to become the Katropa’s resident import for the next seasons. He averaged 31.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists for the conference.
