Sh1nboo dismissed by MPL PH in light of Kaisaya issue

Veteran Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines shoutcaster Shin Boo “Sh1nboo” Ponferrada has been relieved of his duty effective immediately, he announced on his Facebook page, Friday.

“Yo, as of Week Seven. I’m relieved of my duty as an exclusive caster for the MPL. Despite it all, it’s still and always an honor to shoutcast para sa inyo. Maraming salamat,” said Ponferrada, moments after the league opened its seventh week.

Recently, a series of online posts linked Ponferrada to an alleged sexual harassment incident that transpired almost two years ago.

Fellow shout caster Em “Kaisaya” Dangla revealed last Friday that copies of her private video with ex-boyfriend Aron Laxamana were allegedly sent out by Zeus Torquator, a former member of the MPL-PH casting roster.

Dangla revealed that she filed a case against the two back in 2019. However, Ponferrada — who was one of the few people who received a copy of the video — was supposed to testify against Torquator and Laxamana but refused to do so.

The Liyab Esports Arena of Valor squad skipper revealed that her confession on her Facebook page was prompted by a Facebook comment of Ponferrada against Torquator in light of the recent issue involving MLBB and Dota 2.

Different esports organizations such as BREN Esports, Liga Adarna, Liyab Esports, and Esports AcadArena, to name a few, have commended Dangla, expressing their support to the shout caster while also condemning such horrendous acts.

Torquator, who has been suspended indefinitely by his agency Luponwxc, announced on his Facebook page that he will be stepping away from the industry for a while. Both he and Ponferrada have also shared their sides of the story in their respective pages.
