Double celebration for Mars Alba as she is UAAP Finals MVP

UAAP Season 85 Best Setter and now Finals MVP.

Mars Alba steered De La Salle University to its first UAAP women’s volleyball championship since Season 80 to be named Finals MVP.

In Game 1, Alba had 15 excellent sets in the Lady Spikers’ come-from-behind title-clinching victory. In Game 2, she tossed 16 excellent sets to go with three points.

The senior setter activated all possible contributors for De La Salle from usual suspects Angel Canino, Jolina Dela Cruz, Fifi Sharma, Shevana Laput, and Thea Gagate to surprise producers Maicah Larroza and Amie Provido.
