The final 21 players that will compose Gilas Pilipinas for the 2023 FIBA World Cup were unveiled on Tuesday evening.
Composing the pool are one NBA player, eight Filipino imports, 10 PBA players, and two free agents.
All three available naturalized players are in the pool, namely Jordan Clarkson of Utah, Justin Brownlee of Ginebra, and free agent Angelo Kouame.
Kouame is still recovering from a surgery he had early this year.
The twin towers of Kai Sotto of Hiroshima and free agent AJ Edu will also reunite in Gilas after four years.
Edu has been in the country for a week now while Sotto is currently in the US in preparation for the NBA Summer League.
Headlining the East Asian imports are B.League champion Carl Tamayo of Ryukyu and KBL champion Rhenz Abando of Anyang KGC.
Other Filipino imports in the pool are Kiefer Ravena of Shiga, Thirdy Ravena of San-En, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. of Nagoya, Dwight Ramos of Hokkaido, and Jordan Heading of Nagasaki.
Completing the pool are PBA players Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, and Japeth Aguilar of Ginebra; Roger Pogoy, Poy Erram, and Calvin Oftana of TNT; June Mar Fajardo and CJ Perez of San Miguel; and Chris Newsome of Meralco.
Chot Reyes will gather the troops starting on Wednesday at the Meralco Gym.
Next week, Gilas will have a one-week bubble training at Inspire Sports Academy before heading to Lithuania.
Gilas is bracketed with the Dominican Republic (August 25), Angola (August 27), and Italy (August 29). The top two teams in the pool will advance to the knockout playoffs.
