Beau Belga inks new two-year deal with ROS

Beau Belga remains very much a part of Rain or Shine’s plans, as he signed a new two-year contract with the Elasto Painters.

The team announced the development via social media Friday – mere days before the veteran center turns 35 on November 30.

The signing was also graced by agent Danny Espiritu, assistant team manager Jireh Ibanes, consultant and head of basketball of operations Caloy Garcia, alternate governor Edison Oribiana, and governor Atty. Mamerto Mondragon.

Belga has been with the organization for over a decade now, or since arriving from through a complex multi-player three-team trade in 2011.

The 6-foot-6 bruiser has helped Rain or Shine win two championships. Over the years, he has shown his importance as a leader to the young ones.

In the last Philippine Cup, the three-time All-Star averaged 9.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 13 games.

Belga is now the latest to sign an extension with the Elasto Painters, who have previously signed Rey Nambatac to a three-year max deal. They also secured Anton Asistio and Norbert Torres to separate two-year pacts.
