Bagunas, Oita Miyoshi handed third straight loss by Nagoya in V.League

Oita Miyoshi tripped to its third consecutive loss after a 25-23, 25-23, 25-22 defeat from Nagoya, Sunday in the 2021-22 Japan V.League Division 1 men’s tournament at the Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium Entryo.

Bryan Bagunas delivered 12 points scattered through nine attacks, two blocks, and a service ace for the Weisse Adler.

Oita Miyoshi was always there with the Wolfdogs; however, it could not get over the hump, falling short in every set.

Six-foot-eight Bartosz Kurek led Nagoya again, this time firing 24 points on a 21-of-34 attacking rate, two aces, and a block.

Kenta Takanashi was the other Wolfdog in double digits with 10.

Emerson Rodriguez backstopped Bagunas with 11 points.

After winning their first game, the Weisse Adler has now dropped their last three, falling to 1-3.

Oita Miyoshi aims for win no.2 on Saturday, Oct. 30. It faces the 2-2 Toray at Miyazaki Prefectural Gymnasium, 1:00 PM.
