All nine players who were ejected from the free-for-all melee that happened between Gilas Pilipinas and the Australia Boomers were slapped with a suspension by the International Basketball Federation.
Japeth Aguilar and Matthew Wright each received a one-game suspension from the World Cup Qualifier games; Troy Rosario, Terrence Romeo, Jayson Castro William, and Andray Blatche each received a three-game suspension; Roger Pogoy and Carl Cruz each received a five-game suspension; while Calvin Abueva received a six-game suspension.
All players were on active duty for the game.
Jio Jalalon, who was off-duty for the game, was handed a five-game suspension as well.
Allein Maliksi, who was seen throwing punches at a fallen Chris Goulding, was not penalized by the world organizing body.
When asked, the 30-year-old swingman chose to keep his silence, saying that he had already said his piece during the Chooks-to-Go-hosted dinner for the team last July 3.
