Ababou to lead Platinum Karaoke in PBA 3×3

A new team has committed to join the inaugural PBA 3×3 tournament.

Platinum Karaoke has committed to join the league.

Team manager Gerber Manahan confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

“For us, participating in the tournament is a huge honor for us,” he said.

“Our owners are huge sports fans and this is our way to give back to Philippine sports and our athletes.”

Platinum Karaoke, whose mother company is Vismay International Corporation, has tapped elite 3×3 players for its first foray in Philippine sports.

Leading the squad is the fourth-ranked 3×3 player in the country Dylan Ababou. Ababou, a 6-foot-3 winger who was the 10th overall pick in the PBA Rookie Draft, previously played for Big Boss Cement-Porac in Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3.

Joining Ababou are three players from Uling Roasters-Butuan, namely no. 5 Chris De Chavez, no. 6 Karl Dehesa, and no. 11 JR Alabanza.

De Chavez is a 6-foot-3 shooter, while Dehesa is a 6-foot-2 two-way guard. Alabanza stands at 6-foot-5.

Ababou, Dehesa, and De Chavez all also have experience in the FIBA 3×3 pro circuit.

Platinum Karaoke is a company that manufactures and distributes karaoke systems, song discs, amplifiers, soundbars, speakers, and accessories.
