FEU zooms to third win at Arellano’s expense

After suffering a set loss, the Far Easter University Tamaraws charged in the next three frames to stop the Arellano University Chiefs, 22-25, 25-20, 25-26, 25-20, and clinched their third win of the 2018 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, Wednesday afternoon at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Head coach Rey Diaz rued the slow start from the Green and Gold but was satisfied on how they bounced back.

Part of their learning process, Diaz shared that, “Bihira yung ganitong opportunity na makakalaban mo yung NCAA. We need to make the most of such opportunity.”

The Chiefs snatched the opener, taking advantage of the Tamaraws’ errors. Nonetheless, with better execution in transition, the latter eventually secured their third win of the conference.

Middle blocker JP Bugaoan paced the Tams with 12 spikes and six rejections for a total of 18 markers, while rookie Mark Calado added 13 points.
