F2 Logistics crushes Cherrylume for third straight win

The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers extended their winning streak to three after soundly defeating the Cherrylume Iron Lady Warriors in straight sets, 25-5, 25-10, 25-11, in the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Kim Dy and Majoy Baron led the charts with 11 points and seven points respectively.

The Cargo Movers dominated every scoring skill, tallying 12 aces to Cherry Lume’s one, and powering in 39 attacks to the Iron Lady Warriors’ 10. Out of Cherry Lume’s 26 total points in the game, half came from F2 Logistics’ errors.

Coach Ramil De Jesus made it clear that they had zero intentions of taking things easy on Cherry Lume.

“Kailangan mataas ang laruin kasi pagdating ng quarterfinals, di ganun makakalaban mo eh. Dapat ma practice ang dapat mong gawin pagdating ng quarterfinals,” the multi-titled mentor said.

Cherrylume are still seeking for their first win in the tournament after five outings.

On the other hand, F2 Logistics now boasts a 3-2 win-loss record winning their last three games against Sta. Lucia, Cocolife and now Cherrylume. As last year’s All Filipino Philippine Superliga champions, Coach De Jesus still wants to take things one step at a time.

“Sa ngayon medyo maiksi yung tournament eh, depende na lang kung masustain yung ganung kalse ng galaw, hinahabol pa namin yung timpla ng team eh,” coach De Jesus added. “Kung abot kami sa ganun, posible na umabot kami sa ganun. Siguro Top Four muna ang target, kung mabigyan ng pagkakataon makaabot dun, saka na natin problemahin.”

F2 Logistics look to continue their rampage in Pool D when they take on the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors on Saturday, June 24, at 5:00pm. Cherrylyme, on the other hand, continue with their learning process when they face the Cocolife Asset Managers on Tuesday, June 20, at 7:00pm.
