The entire De La Salle University volleyball faithful collectively held their breath when ace hitter Kim Dy was rushed to the dugout after taking a bad fall in the third set of the Lady Spikers’ triumph over the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses earlier today.
“Mali bagsak ko galing akong block, I landed [na] mali puwesto ng paa ko,” the 5-foot-10 spiker reflected.
The opposite spiker confirmed after the match that she had only suffered a minor left ankle sprain after stepping on Aduke Ogunsanya’s foot on a tandem block attempt.
“I’m okay. Rest lang siguro tomorrow and strengthening lang nung ankle,” said Dy, who still finished with 12 points.
“Nag-crack siya eh, pag ganun na-feel ko, ang sakit. Pero pagtayo ko it felt okay.”
The Season 78 Finals MVP confidently said that she will be available for La Salle’s Saturday tiff against the Adamson University Lady Spikers.
“Mild sprain lang. Hopefully makalaro sa Saturday,” head coach Ramil de Jesus hoped.
“Hindi naman siya malala. Yes,” the 21-year-old affirmed.
