Brothers Rey and Relan Taneo of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas are one win away from sweeping the NCAA Season 92 Men’s Beach Volleyball Tournament elimination round after scoring a major 21-15, 21-8 win against the previously undefeated Joeward Presnede and Jhonel Badua of the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates at the sands of the Subic Park Hotel in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
Aside from their big win against Lyceum, the Altas also took care of the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Stags with a 21-14, 21-17 win and a hard-fought 21-10, 16-21, 15-6 win against the Arellano University Chiefs.
The Altas now have an 8-0 record and they shall face the Mapua Institute of Technology Cardinals tomorrow to end the elimination round. If they sweep the tournament, they shall gain an outright Finals berth and the semis shall follow a stepladder format.
