Alyssa Valdez, Ara Galang, and Thea Gagate will headline the final Alas Pilipinas Women training pool that will represent the country in the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Cup in Candon from June 6 to 14.
Interim head coach Shaq delos Santos, who will temporarily take over for the injured Tai Bundit, made the announcement during his appearance at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday morning.
Valdez and Galang banner the wing spikers alongside Trisha Tubu, Ces Molina, and Royse Tubino of Farm Fresh; Tots Carlos of Creamline; Jovelyn Gonzaga of ZUS Coffee; PVL draftee Jonna Perdido; and Vanessa Sarie of Letran.
Meanwhile, Gagate of ZUS Coffee stands as the lone holdover from the previous Alas team that competed in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
She will be joined by FEU’s Cla Loresco, who had also been part of past Alas iterations, along with teammate Jaz Ellarina, PVL draftee Niña Ytang, and Adamson’s Third Tuddao.
Creamline’s Kyle Negrito, ZUS Coffee’s Cloanne Mondoñedo, FEU’s Tin Ubaldo, and Letran’s Nathalie Estreller will compose the setter pool.
Completing the roster are liberos Kyla Atienza of Creamline, Alyssa Eroa of ZUS Coffee, and Lara Mae Silva of Letran.
The national team has already begun preparations for the AVC Women’s Volleyball Cup and is set to travel to Candon on May 29.
