Strong Group has added two more prospects to the Alas Pilipinas Women pool as part of its buildup for the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship 2029.
University of the Philippines standouts Casiey Dongallo and Bienne Bansil have committed to becoming full-time members of the national team during the club season, which runs from June to September.
Dongallo, a 5-foot-7 outside hitter from Cebu, and Bansil, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker from Pampanga, are expected to dedicate their time to Alas Pilipinas in the meantime.
Dongallo is still recovering from an ACL tear she sustained during UAAP Season 88.
In her sophomore year, Bansil was the third-best blocker for the tournament, averaging 0.69 blocks per set.
With their commitments, both prospects are expected to defer entry into the PVL Draft until 2029. Dongallo is in her fifth year with UP, while Bansil is entering her third year.
Earlier Sunday, Alyssa Solomon also committed to the Alas pool as she continues to wait for potential overseas offers.
