The busiest mixed martial artist in the world returns for Universal Reality Combat Challenge’s Dutdutan 16 card.
Will Chope (32-10) will face Iranian fighter Morteza Mombashi of the Catalan Fighting System in the main event of the evening. Chope is coming off a first-round destruction of Budi Kalbar in Singapore, two months ago, to bounce back from a controversial loss in Dubai.
This will be the sixth MMA bout of the year of “The Kill”, who has gone 3-2 in his last five.
In the co-main event of the evening, flyweight John Gonzalez takes on 18-year-old Kevin Park. Gonzalez, a product of Biagtan MMA, made his URCC debut during URCC Fight Night I in Valkyrie. He was able to stop Ef Sevilla that night, and looks to build on that victory.
Two women’s warriors are also set to make their debut in the card, as national Muay Thai team member Krisna Limdaga faces Jomary Torres of Catalan Fighting System.
Serving as curtain jerkers are Oyo “The Headhunter” Cruz of Hitman MMA, who goes up against Top Gym’s Sem Bicaldo. Both are making their professional debuts.
URCC: Dutdutan 16 will be on Friday, August 12, at the World Trade Center in Manila City.
