PBA ball club Phoenix Super LPG is the latest to dish out much-needed aid amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Fuel Masters team have donated part of their salaries for the month of April to purchase personal protective equipment (PPEs) for the frontliners, as well as relief packages.
Over the weekend, Phoenix has donated PPEs to Pasig City, which is among the highly-commended local government units due to its response against COVID-19.
And just this Wednesday, the Fuel Masters gave relief packages — consisting of sacks of rice and canned goods — to San Juan City through its mayor Francis Zamora.
Suspended Fuel Master Calvin Abueva — whose Dampa ni The Beast is in San Juan — joined team manager Paolo Bugia and governor Raymond Zorilla in handing out the goods to Zamora.
“It’s just our team’s small way of helping frontliners and the public fight against COVID-19,” Bugia said.
