Globalport Batang Pier star Terrence Romeo was finally in his practice gear for Gilas Pilipinas on Tuesday evening, but the prolific five-foot-ten scoring guard remained on the sidelines of the Meralco Gym in Pasig City.
The 27-year-old is coming off a trip from Dubai a week ago, as he served as the main attraction of a mini basketball camp hosted by Peak Sports, where he has become one of the brand’s top global ambassadors.
Tuesday night’s session somehow became an open session, as participants from the NBTC clinic had the opportunity to watch the national cagers prepare for the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers, similar to what had happened on Monday night.
Gabe Norwood, Jayson Castro, June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Abueva, Troy Rosario, Raymond Almazan, and Allein Maliksi were the vets present in the preps, while Kiefer Ravena, Matthew Wright, Mac Belo, Kevin Alas, Carl Cruz, and Roger Pogoy represented the young wards.
Tuesday night’s session was special, as one of the national team’s all-time greats, Marc Pingris, was in attendance not as a spectator but as a player, as he was in playing gear and participated in the team’s drills.
Japeth Aguilar joined Romeo on the sidelines, as he is still recuperating from a minor dental procedure.
