A total of 45 teams from across the country and abroad are set to converge for the Xavier Sucere Basketball Cup 2025, happening from October 26 to 29 at the Florida Uytengsu and George K. Young Gymnasium in San Juan.
Teams representing Metro Manila, Iloilo, Bacolod, Zamboanga, Naga, Davao, Pampanga, Olongapo, and Cagayan will compete across the 10-under, 12-under, 14-under, 16-under, and 18-under divisions in the tournament backed by Sucere Foods Corporation.
With ₱50,000 worth of vouchers and prizes up for grabs, this year’s edition will also feature international squads from the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, further elevating the competition’s level of play.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Xavier School Educational Trust Fund (XSETF), established in 1966 to provide financial assistance to deserving students under the guiding principle that “no student who is otherwise qualified be deprived of a Xavier education solely for financial reasons.”
Tournament organizers expressed their gratitude to Sucere Foods Corporation, a leading manufacturer of premium yet affordable confectionery products. Among Sucere’s popular brands are Mayfair Silver Crunch, Mello Banana Split, Bambino Choco Chip Cookies, Marble Candy-Coated Chocolates, and the recently launched OMG Gummies, all available in major groceries, retail outlets, and online platforms nationwide.
From its humble beginnings in 1979, Sucere has built a strong presence in the B2B market, producing and supplying ingredients such as chocolate blocks, chips, bulk marshmallows, candy sprinkles, rice crispies, and more to various clients across the country.

Last year’s champions were the San Juan Warriors (18-under and 16-under divisions), Xavier School San Juan (14-under), and Tigersharks (12-under). This year, the tournament introduces the 10-under division for the first time, expanding opportunities for even younger athletes to showcase their talents.
