Vren, Bren part ways

Vrendon “Vren” Pesebre is leaving AP.Bren just a few weeks after helping the team win the M5 World Championship, the team announced in a facebook post on Thursday.

“Coach Vren became an integral part of our success in 2023. His dedication and leadership were key to our growth as a team. His unwavering belief in our players pushed them beyond their limits to become a better version of themselves. But for now, our journey with him ends here,” the post said.

Together with AP.Bren, Coach Vren had a breakthrough year in 2023 having won the Southeast Asian Games gold medal, the IESF World Championship title, and the M5 World Championship crown.

It was his best performance as part of the coaching staff after helping TNC Pro Team and Bigetron Alpha to third and fourth place finishes in their respective MPL regions in Seasons 9 and 10, respectively.

Coach Vren was behind AP.Bren’s iconic drafts since Season like the Helcurt pick and more recently, the Odette pick at the M5 World Championships.

With his body of work and success in the Philippines and Indonesia, it won’t be surprising to see Coach Vren continue coaching in the next season, albeit, in an MPL region outside the Philippines.
