Valve brings back Dunoo’s classic voice lines through Dota-plus rewards

Valve immortalized Filipino shoutcaster Aldrin “Dunoo” Pangan by bringing back his iconic voice lines as part of the Dota Plus rewards, Thursday.

Dunoo, who died due to complications to COVID-19 last Friday, helped bring Dota 2 to prominence in the Philippines through his energizing calls and provocative style.

And Valve made sure to honor the shoutcasting icon by bringing back three of his voice lines as part of the Platinum-tier Guild Rewards. This are “Easiest money of my life,” “The next level play,” and the most iconic one, “Lakad Matatag! Normalin, Normalin” — the one he did with his partner Marlon “Lon” Marcelo.

Dunoo and Lon first made their mark back in 2018 during the Fnatic-Team Secret match in the ESL One Katowice. There, the two, who were already exhausted from covering several matches during the day, put up a shout casting performance that cemented their legacy not just in the Philippines but in the international stage as well.

That performance gave birth to the iconic voice lines which was then spammed by two-time The International champions OG in TI8.

Arguably the best and most beloved Dota 2 teams in the land, OG penned an amazing tribute to Dunoo after his passing — saying that his voice lines carried them to two Aegis.

Definitely, Dunoo has already cemented his legacy in esports — not just in the Philippines, but in the entire world as well.
