There seems to be no stopping TNT in being as competitive as it can be even if it is currently on top of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, as the KaTropa are set to make yet another move.
According to Spin.PH’s Gerry Ramos Saturday, the flagship MVP franchise will be shipping stocky court general Brian Heruela to the Blackwater Elite in exchange for sharpshooter Mike DiGregorio.
The deal came the morning after the KaTropa beat the Alaska Aces in overtime, 99-93, which made them the first team to post a 7-0 start since the league expanded to 12 teams in 2014.
Trade papers have been sent to the Commissioner’s Office as per reports, and should it be approved, Heruela and DiGregorio might have played their last games for their teams Friday.
Heruela saw action versus the Aces while DiGregorio suited up against the Meralco Bolts, where he had 22 points off the bench though his efforts went for naught as they lost, 97-106.
Should the deal be given the green light, Heruela will reunite with the team that took him with the 26th pick in the 2014 Draft. TNT, meanwhile, will have another reliable shooter in DiGregorio.
