NBA head coach and former champion Brian Shaw spearheaded NBA Fit Week along with Alec Burks of the Utah Jazz and Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City, Wednesday.
Among the highlights of the campaign is the Gatorade NBA Training Center, where basketball coaches, fitness and conditioning trainers, and nutrition instructors share to Filipino athletes and coaches the latest techniques in their respective fields.
Shaw was very eager to share his own knowledge about the game and coaching, saying even if he is not an expert in the field, he wants to let coaches know about his experiences and how the game is ought to be played.
“I’ve heard how passionate and knowledgeable Filipinos basketball fans are,” Shaw added.
While not too busy with their schedule, Middleton also shared a moment reaching out with street ballers from the Kapitolyo Courts in Pasig City last Tuesday night.

NBA Fit Week will also slated gather the youth for basketball clinics to promote the importance of healthy living through its three pillars, namely (1) be active, (2) eat healthy, and (3) play together.
The organizers will then troop to Bocaue, Bulacan on July 30 to partner with Project Pearls for an NBA Cares clinic. The NBA Fit Week shall culminate on July 31 with the Adi Nation Skills camp which features athletes aged 9 to 13.
