Ribo reunites with Lusty in ZOL

It looks like Z4 Esports is not CJ “Ribo” Ribo’s final destination after all.

On Saturday morning, amateur squad ZOL Esports announced that it has acquired the Bren Esports legend, reuniting him with fellow world champion Allan “Lusty” Castromayor.

Ribo started his career with the fabled Aether Main and spent the next seven seasons with Bren Esports. He took a break from the competitive scene in Season Nine.

He won two MPL Philippines titles with Aether Main (S1) and Bren Esports (S6). Ribo, along with Lusty, steered Bren Esports to the M2 World Championships.

The 27-year-old multirole also has a SEA Games gold medal and an MSC title under his belt which made him the winningest ML:BB player in the world.

Last June 23, Z4 Esports announced that it has acquired Ribo.

This is not the first time that Z4 Esports failed to lock a player. Prior to Season Nine, the organization also announced that it has picked up Dylan “Light” Catipon.

However, Light eventually signed with RSG PH and won an MPL Philippines and an MSC title there.
