Ch4knu, E2max return as Kelra switches role for Omega

Omega Esports has completely revamped its roster, focusing on star player Duane “Kelra” Pillas as they approach MPL Philippines Season 12.

The team made the announcement on Thursday.

Kelra, regarded as one of the top talents in the world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, is the only remaining member from the Smart-backed squad that secured a 5th-6th place finish in Season 11.

The 18-year-old superstar will now assume the role of jungler and will reunite with returning players Patrick “E2max” Caidic and Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog. In the previous season, E2max joined Omega Esports’ coaching staff, while the experienced roamer took a one-season break from competitive play.

Former ONIC PH EXP laner Nowee “Ryota” Macasa and ex-Team Lunatix gold laner Jomari “Jowm” Pingol will join the trio in the starting five.

Additionally, MPL PH Hall of Legends inductee CJ “Ribo” Ribo is set to make a return. He led Bren Esports to victory in Season 6 and the M2 World Championship. His previous stint in the MPL was with the same team in Season 8, after which he transferred to ZOL Esports for the inaugural MDL Philippines season.

The squad is rounded out by rookies Andreww “Andoryuuuu” Flora and Ezekiel “Spideeey” Cauilan. The latter secured his spot on the roster by winning the Greatest Gamer Philippines.

Omega Esports will also introduce a new head coach for Season 12, promoting Ronel “Stronger” Tan to the role of head coach.

Stronger previously played for the organization’s League of Legends: Wild Rift team before transitioning into a managerial position.
