V33Wise, OHEB snubbed as MOONTON announces ‘Greatest Players’ nominees

MOONTON announced the Filipino nominees for the prestigious Ten Greatest Players award, which commemorates the fifth anniversary of the M-Series on Saturday.

Leading the pack and expected to be a shoo-in is ECHO jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, who is the only player to have won and led two teams to the world title.

The recently-crowned MPL Philippines Season 12 MVP steered Bren Esports to the M2 World Championship, marking the first time a Filipino squad won the M-series. He then returned in M4, leading ECHO to the world title, which unquestionably cemented his place in history.

KarlTzy’s ECHO teammates, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and the pair of Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel and CJ “Ribo” Ribo, who were part of the Bren Esports team that topped M2, are also on the list.

Blacklist International’s Salic “Hadji” Imam and Edward “Edward” Dapadap, winners of the M3 World Championship, and two of the several Tier One-backed squad members who made a historic back-to-back appearance in M3 and M4, are also included among the nominees.

Also nominated is Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, who currently plays for ONIC Esports in MPL Indonesia. Kairi made two trips to the M-Series as well, first with ONIC PH in M3 and second with ONIC Esports in M4.

Out of the list are Blacklist International stars Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, and M3 MVP Kiel “OHEB” Soriano.

The selection of nominees in the Player category was determined by their merit, previous participation in M-Series World Championships, accomplishments in tournaments, their role in advancing the MLBB Esports environment, their impact on social media, and ensuring they have no involvement in any illegal activities, including promotion and solicitation.
