PBA to suspend games starting Aug 4 as league awaits clearance from Batangas

The Philippine Basketball Association is temporarily suspending all its games starting on Wednesday, August 4.

The decision was made to adhere to the government’s protocols as the National Capital Region has been put under General Community Quarantine with heightened and additional restrictions from July 30 to August 5.

The ongoing Philippine Cup is being hosted by the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

WIth NCR being put under Enhanced Community Quarantine starting on August 6, the league is talking with the local government unit of Batangas to play their games in Lipa.

The PBA will give an update this week regarding the matter.
