After returning to their winning form last Sunday, the NU Lady Bulldogs were at it again as they notched another victory at the cost of the DLSU Lady Tennisters. While better than their previous 0-5 defeat, the Lady Tennisters nevertheless showed just how hard it is to stop NU as they suffered a 4-1 defeat.
Starting the unrelenting National University assault was Clarice Patrimonio who easily demolished the defensive position taken by DLSUâs Janina Luis in a quick 6-1, 6-0 match. Her victory was echoed by the duo of Jzash Canja and Junnelyn Polito who opened up the doubles matches of the tie with a win over DLSUâs Lynette Palasan and Jenni Dizon after a swift and one-sided 6-2, 6-0 match.
The victorious run of National Univeristy continued in the second singles match as Christine Patrimonio carried on the momentum started by her sister , also notching a victory after a triumphant 6-1, 6-2 match over DLSUâs Rachelle de Guzman. Her victory was soon followed by the success of NUâs Ana Bienes and Marie Nagret over DLSUâs Nikki Arandia and Princess Castillo after a one-sided 6-1, 6-1 victory.
DLSUâs Marinel Rudas, however, denied the sweep NU was attempting to pull off as she successfully defeated NUâs Hannah Espinosa in a 2-6, 2-6 match.
