NorthPort looking for replacement import as Forte out indefinitely

Cameron Forte’s stint with NorthPort only lasted for two games.

Forte’s knee injury was worse than expected with a team insider telling PBA.ph that he is expected to gain full recovery next year.

With that, Northport, which is 0-3 in the standings, needs to find another import.

“Maybe later today or tomorrow (Friday) meron ng decision on who to get as a replacement import,” said the source, who requested anonymity since he is privy to the discussions.

“After that, US agents would be contacted kung sino sa mga options ang available and it would just be a matter of getting the new import to sign the contract, securing his working visa, and bringing him in.”

Forte averaged 17.5 points and 19 rebounds in two games.

NorthPort will once again field an all-Filipino team against Ginebra on Friday.
