MPL ID: Baloyskie, Janaqt moves a win away from playoff spot

Filipino Imports Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Jaymark “Janaaqt” Lazaro moved just a win away from sending Geek Slate Indonesia to its first-ever MPL Indonesia playoffs appearance in franchise history.

Geek Slate currently occupies the second spot in the standings with a 7-4 record after taking down Rebellion Zion, 2-1, on Saturday’s match-ups.

They have won six of their seven matches since Week 3, which included wins over powerhouse teams Evos Legends and RRQ Hoshi.

Baloyskie and Janaqt’s arrival in Season 10 has revived the cellar-dwelling Indonesian side, who almost secured the playoff spot after going on a tear in the second round, winning five of their last seven games.

They could have qualified for the playoffs if not for a close 2-1 loss to Onic Indonesia in Week 7 of that season.

Geek Fam ID finished with their best franchise record in Season 10 with a 5-9 card. They haven’t won more than four games prior to Season 10 since entering the league in Season 4.

The former Onic Philippines roamer’s performance for Geek Fam ID earned him a spot in the MPL ID Season 10 First Team, getting the best roam citation.
