Calvin Abueva fired 7 points in a do-or-die game as Manila North took down Doha of Qatar, 16-14 Friday in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour final in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Manila North lost its opener to Slovenian side Kranj, 17-21 but made up for it with a huge win to make the knockout round.
In the quarter-finals, Manila North will face defending 3×3 World Tour Final winners Novi Sad Al Wahda.
Novi Sad Al Wahda defeated Rio of Brazil and Vilnius of Lithuania in Day 1. It will also be a rematch of the final during the Manila Masters event last August.
In other quarter-finals pairings, Trbovlje (Slovenia) takes on Denver (USA), NY Harlem (USA) battles Ljubljana (Slovenia), and Kranj (Slovenia).
