Kai Sotto makes unofficial visit to University of Kentucky

No one can deny the eye for talent of University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari. And he has invited top Filipino prospect Kai Sotto to the school’s campus.

Sotto, whom ESPN graded as a four-star recruit, went to Lexington on Monday evening (Manila time) and had a long talk with Calipari.

The visit was unofficial, though. Moreover, no commitment has been made yet.

The 7-foot-2 big man is classified in the class of 2020.

Currently, the 17-year-old is enrolled in Atlanta-based training ground The Skill Factory. He is impressing there, dropping monster numbers on a daily basis.

Besides being a four-star recruit, the second generation cager is ranked 76th overall, 11th in the big man department.

Also interested in Sotto are Auburn and University of South Carolina.

The advantage of going to UK, however, is that Calipari’s program prides itself in producing one-and-done products.
