Giee bares why Panda will be out for MSC

Something is brewing over at the RSG PH camp.

Four days ago, the kings of MPL Philippines Season Nine announced that head coach Brian “Panda” Lim is set to miss the team’s upcoming campaign in the 2022 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup in Malaysia.

And on Monday afternoon, assistant coach Karl “Giee” Barrientos – who will be handling the coaching chores for RSG PH in the regional tilt – hinted that Panda’s absence has something to do with the team’s title defense in Season 10.

“Una po sa lahat, we have a secret plan for this coming MPL Season 10. I can’t share much, that’s it,” said Giee during the MSC Send-Off press conference for RSG PH and Omega Esports.

Giee also shared that Panda will not be traveling to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the team. Make no mistake, the SEA Games-winning tactician will still aid the team’s campaign in an online setting.

RSG PH is slotted in Pool B along with sister squad RSG SG of Singapore (MPL SG champion) and See You Soon (MPL KH Spring 2022 runner up) of Cambodia.

Composing the squad are Dylan “Light” Catipon, Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, Arvie “Aqua” Calderon, Eman “EMANN” Sangco, Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, and Dexter “Exort” Martinez.

The tournament, which has a prize pool of $300,000, will run from June 11 to 19.
