The PBA released on Monday the names of the 64 hopefuls for the upcoming 2015 PBA Rookie Draft on August 23, at Robinsons Place Manila.
Headlining the list are a handful of Gilas cadets like Troy Rosario, Almond Vosotros, Baser Amer, Glenn Khobuntin, Garvo Lanete, Scottie Thompson, and Norbert Torres.
Fil-Foreigners and US-based talents like Moala Tautuaa, Kris Rosales, Maverick Ahanmisi, Jerramy King, Joshua Cubillo, and Abel Galliguez will also add depth to the pool.
Alfred Batino, Mon Abundo, and Rod De Leon of powerhouse Centro Escolar University, the core of reigning PBA D-League champion Cafe France, will also try to take their games to the pro ranks.
Alumni from Philippine collegiate leagues like Roi Sumang, Chris Newsome, Nico Elorde, Art Dela Cruz, Michael Mabulac, Bradwyn Guinto, Yutien Andrada, Jonathan Grey, and more will also try their luck at the draft.
Blackwater Elite has the no. 1 overall pick in the draft after finishing with the worst record in the 2014-15 season, although the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters hold the rights to that draft pick after an earlier deal last year.
The PBA Rookie Camp will commence starting August 19 to test the applicants, record their biometrics, and further give them a venue showcase their talents in front of scouts and coaches.
