Echelon Volleyball is opening a new avenue for Filipino student-athletes seeking to combine their volleyball careers with education abroad after partnering with Blusoar Education.
The Philippine club volleyball circuit and athlete development platform announced Blusoar as its Official Education and International Pathway Partner for volleyball in the Philippines, with the collaboration aimed at connecting qualified athletes and their families to private-school opportunities in North America.
Through the partnership, eligible student-athletes will be guided through potential academic and volleyball placements overseas. Depending on their development, eligibility, and academic qualifications, the pathway could eventually lead to opportunities with NCAA, NAIA, and other collegiate programs.
Echelon and Blusoar also intend to develop co-branded athlete identification showcases as part of the partnership’s long-term plans. These events are expected to utilize Echelon’s positional rankings and network of clubs to identify athletes who could benefit from international opportunities.
The initiative will be introduced to families during Echelon’s Stop 2 circuit event on October 2 and 3 at Valor Performance Institute in Pasig City, where Blusoar will provide initial information about the program.
“We’re not interested in running events simply for the sake of running more events. We want every part of Echelon to create a meaningful next step for athletes and their families,” said Brian Dacanay, CEO and Co-Founder of Echelon Volleyball.
“Blusoar gives qualified student-athletes a credible way to explore education and volleyball opportunities abroad, while bringing those experiences and standards back into the Philippine volleyball community.”
For Blusoar, the partnership is designed to provide families with a personalized assessment rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
“Not every student-athlete needs the same pathway, and not every family will be the right fit for private boarding school,” said Jason Benadretti, Director of Blusoar Education.
“Our role is to assess each situation honestly and, for those who qualify, guide them through finding the right academic and athletic environment. Echelon gives us a strong way to reach serious volleyball families across the Philippines and introduce them to opportunities they may not otherwise know how to access.”
Echelon will promote the pathway through its network of clubs, coaches, and families, as well as through its events, communications channels, and Club OS platform.
Interested families will first undergo a qualification process before being referred to Blusoar for consultation and assistance with school matching, applications, and placement.
Blusoar will serve as Echelon’s exclusive education and international pathway partner for volleyball-related activities in the Philippines, adding an international education component to Echelon’s growing athlete development platform.
