Blackwater’s brass remains unsatisfied with the package TNT has proposed to them for Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.
According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, talks between Blackwater and TNT have stalled since the Elite want the Katropa to sweeten the deal for the second overall pick in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft.
“As of now, wala pa,” said a Blackwater official, who requested anonymity, on Thursday.
Wednesday evening, news broke out that the Elite would ship Parks to TNT for Don Trollano and two first round picks in the 2019 and 2021 drafts.
Apparently, Blackwater wants more.
This was the same case in Blackwater’s transaction with Meralco last week.
Meralco initially proposed that Allein Maliksi and Raymar Jose will be sent to them in exchange for Mike Tolomia, KG Cañaleta, and a 2020 second round pick. The deal was only approved after another second round pick was added.
In nine games played this conference, Parks, a three-time ABL MVP, posted norms of 20.11 points, 5.00 rebounds, and 3.56 assists per game.
With the PBA office on break, the deal will only be approved on Monday, November 4.
