After leaving the Ateneo de Manila University for academic reasons, Michelle Morente seems to have found a home, as she is now training with the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the 22-year-old is with La Salle, with one source adding that Morente has the potential to be a dual sport athlete — the other sport being basketball.
Moreover, in an Instagram post from Lyceum of the Philippines University spiker Cherilyn Sindayen, Morente was seen playing for the Lady Spikers against the Lady Pirates.
The 22-year-old student-athlete was the second most efficient attacker for UAAP Season 79. She totaled 172 points for the season (6th) on a 41.53-percent attacking rate. She was also eighth in the receiving department with a 30.93-percent efficiency rating.
If Morente were to transfer officially, she would have to sit out UAAP Season 80 and play out her final year of eligibility on Season 81. By then, she would be filling in the opposite spiker role of Kianna Dy, who will have exhausted her own eligibility.
