Creamline taps Schaudt as first reinforcement

Debuting Premier Volleyball League team Creamline Cool Smashers have secured the services of Laura Schaudt as their first reinforcement for the league’s season-opening tournament, the Reinforced Conference, the team announced Sunday morning.

“She will be a big addition to our team and we hope we’ll do good this coming PVL conference,” said Creamline team manager Sherwin Malonzo.

Team skipper Alyssa Valdez, fresh from her stint with 3BB Nakornnont in the Women’s Volleyball Thailand League, welcomed Schaudt.

The 6-foot-5 Schaudt is no stranger to the local volleyball community, as she had played for the Cignal HD Spikers during the 2016 PSL Grand Prix.

This time around, she will join a team led by Valdez. Former Perpetual Lady Altas Colleen Bravo, incoming San Beda sophomore Cesca Racraquin, Pau Soriano, Ivy Remulla, Aerieal Patnongon, and former UP Lady Maroon Joyce Palad will make up the rest of the team.

Coach Tai Bundit will serve as the team’s chief mentor, with Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Oliver Almadro leading the rest of the staff.

Malonzo added that the team is also still in the process of looking for a second import.
