Castro remains confident TNT can turn it around

Jayson Castro believes the TNT Katropa can break away from the five-team logjam they are in

The TNT Katropa are in the midst of the two-game losing skid that has sent them sinking to a 4-4 slate. And those two losses have brought them back down to earth.

After an embarrassing defeat to the NLEX Road Warriors last Saturday, the Katropa showed no sense of urgency against the Star Hotshots. During the game, the Hotshots held the lead for all but 21 seconds in the game. Moreover, Star were quicker on their feet as they held an 18-8 advantage in the second-chance points department.

“Siguro yung mga second chance points tsaka mga offensive rebounds, parang lahat yun [nagsamasama], nawala yung effort namin, isa na ako doon,” said Castro, who finished the game with 16 points on a dismal 4-of-15 shooting.

But things will not get any easier for the four-time Best Player of the Conference and the TNT Katropa. In their last three games, they need to go through the streaking Mahindra, Globalport, and the league-leading San Miguel Beermen.

Even with the funk that they are in, the Pampanga native remains confident that they can find a higher gear.
